About Us

Athens Church isn’t a building or a place…it’s a people. Athens Church meets Sundays at Central Middle School.

We’d love to have you join us at one of our Sunday gatherings. These are a time for all of us to come together to spend time with each other, worship Jesus, pray for our community, and explore the Bible. There’s no pressure to have it all together—our kids are crazy, we wear sweatpants, and we’re still figuring out some of the glitches.

We need Jesus.

And the hope, peace, love, and joy only he can provide. If you’re feeling hopeless, tired, or maybe even a little lost, join us for a Sunday gathering. Let’s discover together what it means to delight in Jesus every day of our lives.

A lot of things may be out of our control, but we know God is at work in the lives of the people of Athens Church in this season. So we gather to celebrate each week our unchanging and faithful God through worship, teaching, and prayer.

About Us

Athens Church isn’t a building or a place…it’s a people. While Athens Church normally meets Sundays at Central Middle School, during this season, we’re currently meeting online and in-person at the Commons.

We’d love to have you join us at one of our Sunday gatherings. These are a time for all of us to come together to spend time with each other, worship Jesus, pray for our community, and explore the Bible. Athens Kids

Athens Kids exists to fulfill the mission of Athens Church in making disciples by partnering with parents to build a gospel-centered spiritual foundation for their children. We love creating opportunities for kids to learn about Jesus and equipping parents to disciple their children at home. Athens Kids is a welcoming, safe and secure environments where biblical truth is taught and the gospel is proclaimed. 

 

Join us for a virtual Athens Kids class!

This is an opportunity for our kids to gather together online to see friendly faces, sing together, and learn more about Jesus. As an additional resource, each week we share a simple activity to do at home with your kids which connects with our learning.

Wondering how to make the most of this season with your family?

Right now, we're all spending a lot more time than normal with our families. Life feels crazy and full of joy, frustration, challenges, and a whole other mix of emotions. While it can be hard to feel motivated, we see this season as a unique opportunity to intentionally cultivate family togetherness.

Encouraging gospel-centered family time doesn’t require lots of prep or production time. Just gather your family for 5 minutes, 20 minutes, or however long you can wrangle your children for a time of family worship.
