Aaron attends a church planting conference at Baptist Bible College and God makes Him aware that he is going to plant and shepherd a church in Columbus, Indiana.
2012
A group of people begin meeting online to discuss planting a church in Columbus, Indiana
2013
www.ColumbusChurchPlant.com is created and people begin to give financially to donate to the church plant.
2014
Launch Team is formed in Columbus and begins meeting once a month meetings.
2015
Columbus Church Plant officially becomes Athens Church.
2015
Athens Church joins the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).
2016
Athens Church joins the Sojourn Network, a church planting network that helps pastors plant, grow, and multiply healthy churches. sojournnetwork.com
2016
Athens Church launches Sunday Services on Easter, March 27, 2016 at Yes Cinema.
2019
Athens Church moves Sunday Services to Central Middle School on April 7, 2019.
