If you have the capacity, we encourage you to give to the Athens’ Relief Fund. These funds provide care and support for those affected by COVID-19 and its impact on our local community.
When this fund is closed, any remaining funds will revert to the Athens’ General Fund.

Columbus Regional Health and the COVID-19 Community Task Force are calling on the community to make homemade masks to help slow the local spread of the virus and protect workers who are at high risk of exposure, including cashiers at local retailers and grocery stores.
The federal Centers for Disease Control have released a guide on how to make homemade masks. Check out the tutorial here: cdc.gov/diy-cloth-face-coverings
The masks may be dropped off at the Columbus Regional Health Volunteers Services Office, 2325 N. 18th Street. You can contact Rebekah Walsh at rwalsh@crh.org or 812-376-5305 for more information.

A number of local organizations are accepting donations to serve those impacted by COVID-19. If able, we encourage you to give generously and faithfully:
- The Lincoln Central Neighborhood Family Center is accepting disinfectant spray, disinfectant wipes, dishwashing liquid, and bathroom cleaner. Items can be dropped off at 1039 Sycamore Street, Columbus, IN, 47201, and the center can be contacted at info@lcnfc.org or 812-379-1630.
- Love Chapel is accepting canned meat, canned fruits, canned soups, peanut butter, pasta/pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, ramen noodles, and fresh produce. Items can be dropped off at 292 Center Street, Columbus, IN, 47201, and the Executive Director can be contacted with any questions by emailing executivedirector@columbuslovechapel.com.
- Clarity is accepting diapers (newborn, size 5, and size 6), baby wipe packages of 60-80, and hooded bath towels. Items can be dropped off at 2420 7th Street, Columbus, IN, 47201, Monday-Friday, 11 am - 4:30 pm, and the center can be reached at 812-378-4730.
